Jumat (8/1/2010) Dell menghadirkan Alienware M15x dan M17x, sebuah laptop yang dikhususkan bagi para hardcore gamers. Alienware M17x dilengkapi graphics processing units Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB, dilengkapi teknologi SLI, memori 8GB DDR3 1333MHz serta layar dan keyboard yang didesain untuk kenyamanan bermain game. Sedangkan spesifikasi Alienware M15x berada di bawahnya.
Alienware M17x dijual mulai 3.299dollar AS dan Alienware M15x 2.299 dollar AS. Menurut Marketing anager Dell Consumer Business Indonesia, Willy Hendrajudo, Alienware diluncurkan memang untuk menghilangkan paradigma bahwa notebook tidak bisa digunakan untuk aplikasi game. “Kita memang membidik target marketnya para gamers,” ucap Willy.
Untuk mendukung hadirnya Alienware, Dell juga memperkenalkan kampanye pemasaran global “All Powerful” melalui situs resmi www.allpowerful.com. Melalui situs ini kita bisa mengenal lebih dekat Alienware, mengetahui asesoris yang dimiliki, dan gabung ke dalam layanan social media Alienware (facebook dan twitter).
